Metallica announces 2027 North American dates for M72 World Tour
Metallica has announced a new 2027 North American leg as part of its ongoing M72 World Tour, expanding the current slate with 12 dates. The run begins May 8 in Vancouver, BC, and continues through a string of stadium stops announced for the summer and early fall.
The itinerary listed by the band includes Vancouver (BC Place), San Diego (Snapdragon Stadium), El Paso (Sun Bowl Stadium), San Antonio (Alamodome), Fayetteville (Razorback Stadium), Kansas City (Arrowhead Stadium), Raleigh (Carter-Finley Stadium), Indianapolis (Lucas Oil Stadium), Buffalo (Highmark Stadium), Madison (Camp Randall Stadium), Cleveland (Huntington Bank Field), and Salt Lake City (Rice-Eccles Stadium).
Support for these shows will come from Limp Bizkit and Avatar, with tickets available via Ticketmaster. Fans can also find deals through Vivid Seats, which is offering promo codes for discounted orders (COS20 for first-time buyers on eligible purchases).
These 2027 dates are characterized as single-show events in each city, marking a departure from some of the prior runs that included multiple weekend nights in a single location.
In the broader calendar around these dates, Metallica is also staging two special Mohegan Sun Arena performances in Uncasville, Connecticut on November 19 and 21 to celebrate the arena’s 25th anniversary, though those shows are separate from the 2027 North American leg. Additionally, the 2027 run follows the band’s Las Vegas Sphere engagement, Life Burns Faster, which runs from October 2026 to March 2027, providing a live-studio-tempo pulse ahead of the North American dates.
